Medical Spanish


Spanish is the second most used language and is being used in many professional fields including the medical field. Medical professionals will get to learn how to better communicate with their coworkers and patients.Speakers of Spanish communicate more clearly and confidently, which is used in the teaching and learning of Spanish. Many medical Spanish learners will be able to learn easily because it creates a more comfortable level of learning. Medical professionals would need to have knowledge of Spanish, in order, to learn medical Spanish, which is a technical form of the language. Medical Spanish is made up of the following: taking patient’s history, how to communicate with patients in their native language, and pronouncing diseases and illnesses in Spanish.


Medical Spanish also have a great impact on medical professionals, as it helps to grow career wise and personal wise. Professionals will have more doors open with the learning of a technical Spanish and be able to expand their career into other countries that speak Spanish as well as other countries that require Spanish speaking professionals. One of the countries that are establishing itself as a medical Spanish provider is the United States. This country has the second largest group of Spanish speakers in the world. Medical professionals learning medical Spanish will be able to help Spanish speakers understand better their diagnostic and what treatments are available to them. This will not only create a stronger doctor-patient relationship but increase business.

These are the topics teachers will be focusing on:

Speaking- Teachers will use various materials to help students with different subjects while practicing pronunciation.


Reading- Teachers will use many resources such as books, magazines, articles and more to help improve reading skills.


Listening- All lessons will be in Spanish to help will immersing, Materials will be provided by teachers. Teachers will focus on showing videos and recorded audio to help with listening skills.


Writing- Teachers will test writing skills every day to ensure students are learning vocabulary.  Teachers will ask for exercises, short stories or giving homework.



What other requirements do I need?  

Apart from the basic requirements above, we do not have any other requirements to teach. However, we do recommend you are open to the following, in order, to teach abroad:

  • Knowing the local language is imperative to be able to communicate with the locals. Basic understanding of the language is recommended.
